Quick Start with managing Web Hosting on Plesk VPS

As VPS Manager, you will have Reseller access to the Plesk Panel.
As a reseller, you can use the hosting resources for your own needs as well as for selling these resources to customers.

  • To add a new domain that you manage yourself, create a new Subscription.
  • To add a new domain to be managed by a third Party, create a Customer first.

Managing your own Subscriptions

You can set up your corporate website(s) and/or mailbox(es) on the Panel server.
To set up your own hosting account, create a subscription in Panel by clicking Subscriptions > Add New Subscription.
Then provide a domain name for this subscription, specify access credentials, and choose a service plan and add-ons if you need them. The subscription will appear in the list on the Subscription page together with your customers' subscriptions.
To start creating your website or to edit the subscription settings, click the Open in Control Panel link next to the subscription's name.
For more information about what you can do from the Control Panel, check: Managing Websites and Domains

Since we host our DNS on a dedicated DNS server, please let us know when you intend to add a new domain so we can set it up in HIS DNS.

Managing Customers and their Subscriptions

Resource:

To set up a customer hosting account, create a Customer Subscription in Panel by clicking Customer > Add New Customer.
Fill-in the Customer Contact Information and then provide a domain name for this subscription, specify access credentials, and choose a service plan and add-ons if you need them. The subscription will appear in the list on the Subscription page

To assist your customers, you can log in to the Control Panel under a customer's account and edit their websites and subscription properties as if they were your own. To start managing a customer's subscription in the Control Panel, find the subscription in the list on the Subscriptions page and click Open in Control Panel.

Since we host our DNS on a dedicated DNS server, please let us know when you intend to add a new domain so we can set it up in HIS DNS.

Setting Up Your Own Hosting Plans.

A service plan is a combination of hosting resources that you sell to your customers.
For example, a plan can provide customers with the web hosting service, five gigabytes of disk space on the server, and ten gigabytes of data transfers each month.
There are also add-on plans that let you offer additional resources and services to subscribers, such as, for example, an additional gigabyte of disk space.
When customers want to host a website on a Plesk Panel-managed server, they subscribe to a plan that offers the resources they need.
In other words, a subscription is a set of resources defined by a plan and available to a certain customer.
