Setting Up Email in Windows 8 Mail (Desktop)

        <p>Here is how to <strong>Windows8 Mail</strong> on a Desktop Computer or tablet</p>


  1. On the Start screen tap/click the Mail tile
  2. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Settings (If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Settings)
  3. Tap/Click Accounts
  4. Tap/Click Add an account
  5. Scroll down to the end and Tap/Click Advanced Setup
  6. Expand the window by pressing the show details button
  7. Enter the settings below on the following screen:
  8. Email Address: Your full Email Address (<username>@<your-domain.xxx>)
  9. Username: Your full Email Address (<username>@<your-domain.xxx>)
  10. Password: The password you use to login to your Email account
  11. Incoming (IMAP) email server: mail.<your-domain.xxx>
  12. Port: 143
  13. Incoming server requires SSL: Not Checked
  14. Outgoing (SMTP) email server: mail.<your-domain.xxx>
  15. Port: 587
  16. Outgoing server requires SSL: Not Checked
  17. Outgoing server requires authentication: Checked
  18. Use the same username and password to send and receive email: Yes
  19. Finally, click the back arrow at the top of the column to save the changes you've made.
