Adding a nameserver when your domain is registered through HIS/OpenSRS
We operate four authoritative nameservers to host DNS information for your domain. These nameservers are located in four different cities in order to provide geographic and network diversity; a failure at a data center won't stop DNS lookups for your domain.
Your domain should make use of all our nameservers:
NS.HIS.COM
NS2.HIS.COM
NS3.HIS.COM
NS4.HIS.COM
NS5.HIS.COM
The username and password you need to manage your domain registration were sent to you when you registered the domain. If you don't have this information, email us at support@his.com, and we will resend it to the Administrative Contact's email address.
Once logged in at https://manage.opensrs.net
- Go to Domain locking and unlock the domain
- Go to Name Servers, add ns4.his.com and save the configuration
- Go back to Domain locking and re-lock the domain
- Log out
When finished, the name servers listed for your domain should read:
NS.HIS.COM
NS2.HIS.COM
NS3.HIS.COM
NS4.HIS.COM
NS5.HIS.COM
