Changing Zimbra - @his.com Email Account Password Knowing The Current One
Here is how to reset your Zimbra account password - knowing your current password:
1- Pick a new password. The new password must have at least:
- 10 characters (Suggestion: Use a combination of words, a sentence)
- 1 number
- 1 upper case letter
- 1 lower case letter
- 1 punctuation symbol (.,-:;)
Do not re-use old passwords, passwords that you use on other accounts or passwords that spell out dictionary words or part of the username.
Make a good note of the new password as you will need to re-enter it on all computers/devices you check your email from.
2- To change your email password, you'll have to know your current password, to log in to https://webmail.his.com.
CLASSIC version:
- Click on the Preferences tab at the top of the page.
- You will see a Change Password Button in the Login Options section, click on it.
- This will open a new POP-up window
- Enter your old mail password, the new one and confirm the new one.
- Click on Change Password for the change to take effect
3- After that you will need to update the password on all the computers or devices you use to check your mail.
An easy way to do that on each device:
- Check mail and you will be prompted for the new password - This will update Incoming Settings (IMAP or POP).
- Send mail and you will be prompted for the new password - This will update Outgoing Settings (SMTP).
