Fix for: Outlook sending blank message boxes when sending attachments from Draft

This issues re-occurs once in a while since Outlook 2016 up to Latest Office 365 as of April 2024

This is a problem linked to Auto save drafts functionality in 32bit version of outlook not saving the messages before sending.
If someone saves the message to draft manually by Ctrl+S or Closing the compose window and clicking YES when asked for saving the mail to draft, in both the cases it works fine.

Here are steps To Switch Off Outlook Auto Save Drafts on Windows.

  • Open outlook
  • Go to File->Options->Mails
  • Go to section “Save messages” and uncheck first check box “Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes:”
  • Click OK
  • Restart Outlook.
