Updating email password in Mac Mail

• Verify you have the correct password for your HIS-hosted email account by login to webmail.

Once you have confirmed you have the correct password:

• Open Mail on your Mac.

• Click on Mail in the top-menu, then select Preferences.

• Select the Email Account you wish to update password for on the left hand side, then click the Server Settings tab.

• Under Incoming Mail Server, update the Password field with your new/current password, then click Save near the bottom-right of the window.

• You should now see: You have successfully updated your email password.

Mac Mail’s interface and layout may appear differently depending on your version of MacOS.
