Setting up iPhone or iPad to connect to

Make sure you have all the information you need to set up your account. If you don't, contact HIS Support.
You will need to know:

  • Your real name.
  • Your email account user name: its is your email address:
  • Your email account password.
  • The full email address of the alias (if applicable).
  • The name of your mail server (
Configuring your iPhone or iPad Mail:
  • Go to Settings, Tap on Mail (or Mail, Contacts, Calendars)
  • Select Add Mail Account, then Other
  • Fill in the fields:
    • Name: your Full Name
    • Address:
    • Password: your password
    • Description: Anything works here
  • Incoming Mail Server IMAP settings:
    • Hostname:
    • Username:
    • Password: your password
  • Outgoing Mail Server settings:
    • Hostname:
    • Username:
    • Password: your password
    Select what you want to Sync:
  • - Mail: ON
    - Notes: ON
  • Note: IMAP can not sync Calendars, Contacts.

    At this point the iPhone should test the connection and everything should work - the iPhone will pick what it thinks is the best port for you to use.
    If you are experiencing issues when SENDING mail from your device, use SMTP port 587 for * You can also use SMTP with SSL on port 465.

    Enabling SMTP Authentication
    • Tap on Settings from your main screen
    • Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendar button
    • Tap on YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT name
    • Scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server.
    • Change Authentication to "Password".
    • Go to the bottom of the screen and tap the button labeled Advanced.
    • Scroll to the Outgoing Settings section and tap the Server Port field.
    • Use the on-screen keyboard to enter 587 in the custom SMTP port number.
      (You can also use SMTP with SSL on port 465.)
    • Click SAVE on your right hand corner.
